Ben's little sister has her birthday tomorrow she will turn 10.
I've asked her what she liked but she only replied with teddy bears.
Considering im low on money i dont plan to buy her a big gift, but i think to get her a teddy is a bit useless because she will just put it away?

Their mum told me to get a phone card or just give her money.

What are your ideas?

not that i know of.
I know the 7 year old still loves barbies.
My mum was still giving me dolls at 10. but i think i might give her a photo frame .
She actually wants a pet, but ive refused to give her one
her dad would kill me

A photo frame is a cool idea! I think they are very reasonable in price and the rang of them is overwhelming.

Movin' on up!
At 10, I always wanted books. That was the year that I got "Alice In Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass".

What's wrong with giving her a teddy bear? My nieces at that age were very grown up, but still loved teddy bears and stuffed clowns, and disney stuff, I think just because they didn't want to grow up too fast. If she told you that herself, I think that would be a lovely gift - you can find a little "collectible" bear, not just a baby toy.

Also, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe might be a good choice for a book - fantastic and the movie is coming out in December.

I like the idea for a ticket to the movies...make it two, and take her to the movie of her choice!

My daughter is 9-1/2, and likes jewelry. If you could find an inexpensive teddy bear necklace, she would love that. Or a shirt with a picture of a bear? Otherwise a pretty picture frame is a good idea. And ask Ben what else she likes besides teddy bears!

Rigel!

How about a pretty hair clip or hair band she can show off at school or at parties? I remember having fun comparing accessories with friends at that age.

lol Ben doesnt know he is 21 and hasnt lived with her since the past.. hmm 8 years or so

I have a photo Frame, and i will get her some chocolates and a teddy.
I sort of feel bad because im actually on minus on my bank account untill the 1st, so im just getting her little things with the money i have left.

I only said that a teddy is a bit useless because she never gets pocket money or decent clothes from her dad. If i see a nice t shirt or something i will get it for her.

Well im off to make her a birthday card now
