How many movies/films do you "own"?

I got a bit of a shock this afternoon. One of my classes asked today if I'd be willing to lend them English-language videos or DVDs over summer vacation, and I told them I had a list of what I have, but hadn't updated it for about two years. Well, I updated it when I got home, and was shocked to find that I had over 60 videos, and about 20 DVDs, in English. We must have at least that number in German, or in Mandarin or Cantonese with German subtitles (Chinese/Hong Kong film fan here). I'm not even going to look at my husband's collection of music videos/DVDs, as the number would probably make me faint.

If I remember well I has around 1500 Cd´s of course so many artits ( I mean Buyed in a store, not COPY´S!
And Dvd´s around to 80..... ....
and a Bunch too of VHS!!!......

I have about 30 VHS, and only a couple of DVDs-I am on netflix so I don't buy DVD's much. I had many more VHS but donated them to the library.

My rule is I only buy ones that I LOVE, with a capital L cause I don't have a lot of storage.

I have a degree in film and my bf works in Special Effects, between the two of us we have... a lot. At least 300 I'd say, probably a lot more.

It's sick. Really, really sick.

I know we have over 350 titles, and more actual DVDs than that since we have some collections that include multiple movies (i.e. the High School Reunion Collection (Sixteen Candles, Wierd Science, and Breakfast Club), the 1st James Bond collection with like 7 movies...). Earl is a huge movie buff!

We probably own around 40 DVDs and about 10 VHS movies. My sister's finace's collection is larger than Blockbuster's!

The last count of DVD's was 284, my hubby is a collector of sort. He also now has over 400 xboxs games too... Thats where his spending money goes..

You people are making me feel better!

We don't have too many-all the star wars and star trek ones. The 3 LOTR. Band of Brothers/another WW11 11 disc set. Total wouldn't be more than 40.
I spend my money on plants!!

Anthony and I have about 200 DVD's, about 50 VHS and way to many CD's, over 1000.

About 20 videos, but most of them are of me on the news....

At a glance, because I don't feel like counting....about 60-70 DVD's, this count does not include our VHS tapes or Laser Disks.

Oh my, I dont even want to count them. Close to 150 dvds.

Around 150 DVDs, probably about 100 VHS which I am pruneing down. Some are dups of the DVD. I think I own around 40 or so video games as well (PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox.)

I also have a large collection of music. Now if I could just find software to catalog it all that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Not to mention the space the collections take up.

I have a total of 87 DVD's...all in alphabetical order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have probably close to 400 movies on VHS. A lot of them are recorded off the TV though. As far as DVD's it's getting close to 200. I definately am a collector, lol.

Well, I can count 40-odd commercial VHS tapes to my left on the shelves, and there are about that many again upstairs, plus a few we've taped off broadcast. One DVD -- the player is pretty new, was a complete impulse pruchase because it was on sale cheap, and we haven't really done much about getting DVDs.
