Hi!

First, thank you to everyone who responded to my last thread. It was a huge help.

The kittens are now three weeks, four days old and they just ate some wet food (wellness kitten canned) and some Royal Canin babycat food!! They are eating like there's no tomorrow!!! Do I have to worry about them overeating? Their little tummies feel pretty full. I haven't noticed any poo on their blankets so I think Mom may still be helping them go potty? If she's still helping them do that, and they're eating solid foods now, is there any danger of her not helping them go anymore?

Also: they are drinking water already! And they chew on the plastic litterbox and even their stainless steel bowls - do I have to worry about anything bad happening?

I hope to post some pics of them soon as...they are precious! Two pure white, one orange with darker orange stripes, one orange/white, and one dark tabby with orange and black polka dots on his belly!

I usually introduce food at 3 1/2 weeks, but it's rare that they take it. It's good that your did, though. Eating and drinking at that age is okay. Now that they're eating, they will need a litter box. I always introduce the litter box that same time they start eating canned food. Mom will still stimulate them, some, but you should also start to see little clumps in the litter box.

As for the chewing, I'd try to stop them from chewing on the stainless steel.... perhaps you can put a toy in there that will take their attention away from chewing on the object.
