Hello all,

Recently I introduced you to our 10-month old Pixie-Bob Boomer. A week ago, we got a second kitten. He's 3 months old and he shares the same father with Boomer. We think the name "Maxwell" is going to stick. Maxwell is a shorthair Pixie-Bob with a naturally stubby tail, while Boomer is a long-hair version.

Boomer and Maxwell fought hard for about 3-4 days, now they are best friends...eating together, playing together, and grooming each other...

Boomer enjoys a break from the hyper kitten:

They are both so pretty!
They look very much like Grace.

Was Maxwell born without his tail?

Well, yes he was born with that very short tail. The Pixie-Bob is bred to have a short tail, part of the "Bobcat" look from which they derive their name. Boomer's tail is on the long side (6 inches), whereas Max's tail is more normal - about 1.5 inches. It's quite cute when he wags that little stub.

They do look similar to your Grace.

You can read a bit more about the Pixie-Bob characteristics here if you are interested.
