I tried some hissing therapy with Bob, and it seems to work.
He was clawing across the couch this morning, and continued when he came to me. I just hissed, and he looked at me. Then, much to my suprise, he stopped. I've been at my wits end with the swatting and clawing. I seriously considered bringing him to a shelter when he swatted me opening a big gash on my eyelid. But I worked it out, realizing that he was only acting out of fear (I was grooming him at the time) and not hate. Freckles thankfully was raised around people and I don't have to do it with him.

I have been using the Feliway diffuser for almost a week, and they do seem calmer when they're together.

Yeah, I have to get out of dog training mode! Up until the last year I hadn't had a cat in about 25 years. Sit and Stay don't seem to work in the feline language.
