Survivor is a reality show where I think 16 people start off all together living on a remote island somewhere, with usually nothing but the clothes on their backs. They are divided into two teams, and have to live off the land so to speak for something like 36 days. They have contests to win things like food, cooking utensils, flint to start fire, blankets, etc. They also have challenges against eachother where someone from the losing team gets voted off. One by one they're voted off until they are down to two people. You know, like alot of you, I didn't watch the show for the longest time, thinking I"d hate it. It's actually very good and I"m addicted now.

They had survivor auditions here last month. It was on a Wednesday from 10-4. I thought of trying out until I saw that the next season isn't going to be on an island!!
Really I didn't know when the show starts taping. But that is one of my post work goals- to come up with a fabulous audition tape for the show. REALLY!!

Unfortunately, to be on any of those reality shows, you have to be in shape, and although I definitely have a "shape", it's not condusive to strenous activities! I'm afraid I'd collapse after the first challenge!!

LOL, well, when you put it like that Jan, maybe I will try out for Home Makeover! LOL A week's vacation, a beautiful home when I get home, and no bug eating...........ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds great!
If anyone from TCS gets on any of these shows I'll definitly tune in because otherwise I don't enjoy them at all!

Survivor is a ripoff of road rules from MTV. and Big Brither is a rip off of the Real World also from MTV. I find it interesting that when it's people over the age of 30 participating in these things it's "good tv". When Real World first can out people called it stupid and dumb idea.
I would love to see a new line of shows that do not deal with law, crimes, missing people, victums, policemen, firemen and politics. Lets get some real shows on tv for a change. I'm getting sick of watching re-runs of Full House and the Cosby Show.
