Hurricane Dennis didn't really come close to us, thankfully. The damage in Pensacola seems actually much less than in Apalachicola, where bunches of houses were destroyed much like Ivan did. Concrete block houses in piles.

Not 30 miles away, we just got some small branches down in our yard and our cable internet went out for 2 days... not even cable TV, just the internet, and our power barely even flickered.

While I was bored waiting for it to come back up, I decided to take an old familiar animation & turn it into a Siamese kitten...

Here's the original:

Any my new version:

Use it as you wish!

Super cute kitty! Glad you were only inconvenienced, and not beaten up, by Dennis.

Does more than one person use your computer to web surf? There's usually an option in there somewhere (depending on the browser) to "turn off animations."

Glad you made it through okay Sooz! I'm seriously considering ignoring the next one

I opened it in PhotoImpact, opening each frame of the animation as a separate "photo" (animated gifs are like tiny little animated movies, several frames played in quick succession make the thing appear to move). This one has 18 frames, so one by one I painted his little points brown on all 18 images. I then used Jasc Animation Shop to reassemble all 18 images back into the one animated gif.

Quite time consuming, but I was bored!

Mika and Holly say thanks for the compliments, although Holly's in a foul mood due to being a cone head. That's what she gets for pulling on her spay stitches!
