I'm sitting here watching the hurricane coverage on the news channel.
My niece asked "why don't they give hurricanes pet names instead of human names?"

I know hurricanes are scary and very destructive and not to take the danger they pose lightly, but this question cracked me up, can you imagine....

Hurricane Fluffy
Hurricane Muffin

or
Hurricane Spot?!!

Anyone care to add to the list?

I'm not too fond of hurricanes myself, but this year both DH and I are on the hurricane name list, Leigh and Nate! (well out shortend names anyway!)

How about:

Hurricane Snowball

Close to the end of the season, we get Hurricane YeyÃ[emoji]169[/emoji], and it's a doozy, an F5 in the tornado scale, scattering hair all over the pillow covers. Come to think of it, I've got four permanent hurricanes inside the house. And eight feral ones outside.

But then again, I've acquired an anti-hurricane potion that bonds ozone molecules together, developed by the Hatfield brothers in or around the turn of last century. Some call it Feliway.

And then, what hurricane cleanup kit would be complete without a velvet brush?

Hurricane sugar bear (cj's nickname)
Hurricane pussbutt (tigger's nickname)
Hurricane sweetness (parents bunny)
Hurricane casper (mom's betta)

There was a hurricane emily once and my mom said that she knew where it originated from, my room. She never let that one go. Everytime she saw my room she always said she knew why they named a hurricane after me.
