My "baby girl" just had 2 babies earlier today she is done with delivering and has nursed the second kitten the first one died
important thing is she is ok anyway she is nosing around where she had the first kitten and bawling would it help her to understand that it's gone if I brought her the body? also is there a respectful way to dispose of the body a trash bag sounds sooo bad

I really have no idea about taking the body to the mother, in my VERY uninformed opinion I wouldn't want to. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss~

As for disposing of the kitten, I would wrap it in a blanket and box and bury it somewhere special to you. If you don't have a place yourself that you could do that, do you have a friend or family member that would be ok with giving you a space?

I really would like to thank you all for the information. And i will think about that space...
She seems to have backed off now so hopfuly she does take it too hard.
on the positive side.... at least for the horribly bad labour she still has one baby to love.
Will post pictures look for "rat pack" theme our cats are Sammy (the mommy) Frank (sammy's brother) and Dean-O (my baby)

Sydbear, Sammy's kittens weren't sired by Frank, were they? If so, please have Frank neutered as soon as possible because Sammy will come back into heat very, very quickly after this delivery.

No, Sammy's kittens, as far as I can tell were sired by the family's male cat next door.
"my boys" are nutered Sammy wasn't spayed because she was underdeveloped and the vet told me to wait till she was a year. This is why, I think, I didn't notice her being pregnant. Sammy is also an indoor cat. So the thought of being pregnant didn't occur to me. (we have an ajoining porch) The walls are much too high for them to jump so Sammy must have found the other cat.

PS she is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo getting spayed I was scared out of my mind.

PPS another reason the vet told me to wait was that she found a small heart mumer (which makes spaying much more dangerous) the vet figures she'll out grow it.
All are doing fine now

She will grieve and this is normal. But the surviving kitten will help her soon to forget. Change the bedding if you haven't already because the other kitten's smell is on the blankets and still fresh- and that will help as well. I am sorry this birthing didn't go off without a hitch-

I'm going to wash the blankets she used for her first kitten (two different spots lol) but she won't let me move her for the blankets to the second one
She gets werid and takes the kitten away. I would feel better if i could see her
When is a good time to Let my boys back in?

sammy had another kitten early this morning it, course didn't make it the really sad part is she left it in there. I only found out because a leg was out. I helped her push but.... too late.
