Hi everyone! I found this site when i googled for some kitten info and it has been quite helpful. I live in Wisconsin and volunteer with a local feral cat rescue. I currently have nine cats living with me (in a two bedroom apartment
). There is Tinkerbell, my cat, my first cat, adopted from the humane society. Then there is my foster failure, Lexus. Much to Tink's dismay, i caved and decided to adopt Lexy myself....she is scared of anything and everything and too shy to hold her own at an adoption fair, much less in yet another new home. Then there is Katharina (Kat), fittingly named after Shakespeare's shrew in the Taming of the Shrew. She is a foster and formerly extremely feral, but after weeks of reading to her and then months of trying to touch her, she has become a very sweet, affectionate girl. Then we have our foster family...momma cat and her five babies, Pepper, Dodger, Oliver, Molly, and Tessa. They are six weeks old and so much fun to have around! I'm looking forward to reading about everyone else's babies and seeing lots of pictures

Hello Amber, so nice to meet you.One of my cats was adopted from a shelter. My youngest,(a white deaf persian) was rescued by my husband and I a few years ago. At first she would hiss and growl like a wild cat and was terrrified of everyone and everything. Today, she is a completely different cat. It took a lot of time, patience, and love and was well worth it in the end.

I think it's wonderful that you have opened your home to all those cats and I'm sure they will reward you with love and laughter.

Welcome,

What a great thing you are doing for these kitties....
I am wishing that I could have that many, but the city I live in has so restrictions about the number of cats we can legally own......

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! Yes, i have TONS of pictures, i will be sure to post some soon. And mferr84, one of my kittens has already been picked out and pre-adopted (still with me for a couple more weeks) but the others have not had much exposure yet, as they are not able to attend adoption events until they have been spayed/neutered which will probably be within the next couple of weeks. They are ridiculously adorable (as all kittens are!) and they will probably be adopted right away...now i just have to figure out how to let them go
