Building your own scratching posts

Hey everyone!
I wasn't sure where to post this question.

I was thinking about building a post/tower for our babies. What materials should I use....glue, staples??? I wasn't sure what would be the safest for our cats. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Near the top of this page you will see a few small grayboxes with words in them - one says "Search"! Click on this and then type in scratching posts. I did this and found a lot of good threads about scratching posts. perhaps this will help you?
