My feral kitty Karma who I have had for over two years, suddenly leaped on my lap last night as I was sitting on the couch, turned around 3 times and laid down! She has NEVER allowed this type of human contact before, and is one of those cats that when and if she decides you can pet her, you can only do it for a minute, or risk losing your fingers. I don't know what made her turn the corner, but I am glad she finally has decided to trust a human!

MaryAnne... that is great news indeed. I don't think there is anything more satisfying than finally getting one of our feral creatures to want us for a change! Congratulations, and when she allows another pet, giver her one from me?

Hissy,

That's great news. Makes you feel kind of warm and fuzzy inside knowing that all the effort you put into a feral is finally paying off.

Hissy,

That's great news! Maybe Karma made a New Year's resolution?

What a truly terrific moment!

Bill

(How's Bacardi?)

I am taking her to another vet this month. The meds quit working and now she is doing a lot of different strange things, such as when I pet her face (the only place she lets me touch her anymore) her mouth opens halfway and she starts to pant like she is under attack. It has gotten again to the point of not even touching her and I know she is confused why once again we have had to put her on "Ignore"

Hissy - I am so sory that Bacardi has had a set back. I hope that the new vet can help her.
