This is for the litter of 4 kittens today that we had to abort. I am work with my neighbor who was hoarder to spay and neuter her cats, well today we spayed her last female cat that she is going to keep, she was about 4 weeks pregnant. My boss asked when we found the kittens if he should continue with the surgery and I told him it was for the best, since I can't take in any more kittens for awhile (feline distemper took 4 foster kittens) and she certainly couldn't care for them.

Also I want to say goodbye to the 4 foster kittens who I lost to distemper, Faelyn, Scurry, Joon, and Genevive. I had the 4 of them cremated together (they were all littermates except Genevive), so they wouldn't be alone.

Sometimes life is just too hard! I am so sorry you lost your dear babies to distemper! And that this dear litter could not be given the chance to live. But what a service you have done to help this woman speuter her cats and end the madness of continual breeding. My heart goes out to you!

I'm sorry to hear about the unborn babies, even if I think it was the right thing to do. And the poor little ones who got distemper, at least they were well loved and given such consideration after death.

Yes, it's a difficult decision to make and it stays with you for a long time. I've had my vet abort kittens in stray cats, too; it's the best decision sometimes, for the benefit of the cats. And bless you for being so kind to Faelyn, Scurry, Joon & Genevieve; distemper is so horrific! Now, all the kittens are over the Bridge, getting to be what they deserve to be - happy, healthy, pain-free & playing as much as they like. As for mama-kitty, I pray that she recover speedily and get the chance for a good life in a forever home.

Although it is a sad decision to make, i think it is for the best, there are so many cats needing a home, it is unfair to bring more into the world. I am glad you have managed to spay and neuter all her cats now, they should all be a lot healthier.

So sorry to hear about your foster cats too.
