I have a 2-year-old cat named Tabby who has become a nighttime crier. She wails two or three times a night. Usually, she has brought a toy into our bedroom, so I assume she wants to play.

It is not as if she is lacking in attention. I am home all day. I brush her every night. She gets to go outside with me. We play with a feather ball on the stairs. She is well fed and watered. And she gets clean litter every two days.

In addition to all this, she is peeing in my daughter's bathtub. We have resorted to keeping the door closed to keep her out.

I am going nuts. HELP!

The peeing in the bathtub is a sure sign that she has a urinary tract infection or blockage. The discomfort from the infection/blockage may also be causing the yowling. Please take your cat to the vet ASAP. Make sure you tell the vet about the bathtub peeing and the yowling so that the vet will know to do a urinalysis. (A regular check-up won't detect urinary tract problems....they must do a urinalysis.) Once your cat is treated for the infection/blockage the problems will almost certainly go away!
