My cat Lili who I think is very close to give birth, has gone into her nesting area and tore out all the blankets and is now laying under all of them. Is this a sign? Is it okay if she laying under all of them?

Mine gave birth in the middle of my daughters bed in a tent that she had made out of the comforter. I guess each nester is different

Yes it is a sign, and yes it's okay. Just let her do what she needs.

Can you make her a sort of tent? That is what I ended up doing one time when a soon to be momcat kept tearing up her bed/nest. I took an old sheet and stripped it out, piled the strips in the nest and took a thin blanket and made a tent over her nesting box. She was perfectly content to give birth there to three kittens.

I really like that idea about making a tent for the momcat to have her babies in it.....I have a pretty big box fot the cat and she did tour the blankets around but she still rather sleep on the floor near the box

We are on day 62 and NO signs of anything - no nesting or anything. Best wishes for a healthy delivery - keep us posted!
