Which Cat Litter to use?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for opinions on cat litter. I have 2 kittens and they just stink up the box! They have 2 boxes and I've tried different litter in each box. I use a recycled paper litter in one and the Petsmart brand clumping in another. Neither one is doing the job of controlling odor. Any advice on controlling kitty odors in the litterbox? Thanks!!!

Why do you like Arm & Hammer Super Scoop Fragrance Free?

We use Vitapet kitty litter. It's kind of like white rocks. I hear those flat crystals are good. My Nana uses them for her cats and kittens.

We keep our litter box close to the door. As soon as it has some stool we toss it out into the garbage outside the door. We also use a special dry cat food that produces smaller stool and a bit less smell. I find that a lot of other dry cat food contains corn etc. that animals as with humans can't completely absorb. Producing more waste. We prefer to stay away from canned food because this causes a big stinky stool mess too. Just my two cents worth.

I started a thread about The Worlds Best Cat Litter but I am concerned about the odor of corn in my small apartment. I am going to check out the web site of the Arm & Hammer Litter mentioned above.

I use the Fresh Step Crystals for my two cats - nothing I've tried covers up the odor better.

I use Worlds Best Cat Litter when I have kittens because it's so safe, and that works pretty well too.
