Stray cats tail feel off!!!!

There is a stray cat near my house whose tail had no fur in the middle. Today i saw the cat walking and its tail is gone, theres just a little stub!!!!!! He is very viscious you cannot go near him. Have any of you heard or seen this before???

The tail may have been damaged by a door or run over by a car. The swelling from the injury would have caused the hair to fall out and may have killed the tissue in the tail causing it to fall off.

mittens..sounds like you have a feral cat who needs to be trapped and seen by a vet. If you provide your state...I can see about TNR groups that you can contact.

Maybe the poor guy lost a fight where another cat was biting into his tail? Or maybe he was hit by a car or some physical accident? Perhaps he is very sick with an illness?

Yes, I've seen a tail-less cat before but he was also bleeding and limping -- clearly had gotten the worst of it somehow.

So what are your goals for this cat you saw? Are you trying to help?

Aww that sounds so pittyful, I hope someone can help this little guy. He must be in pain. Oh how sad. I am sending good vibes to you to be able to find help for this little guy, Good luck to you
