Hi , I have a question is it normal for kittens after they eat to have bloated up tummies? If not what can I do? I found these 3 kittens in my backyard last week and all are in good health (running, eating good, no runny stools etc). I am on a budget at home and we are trying to help these kittens until they are a few more weeks older. I think according to other things I have read about eyes open, and ears up etc, that they are around 4-6 weeks old

These kittens need to go to the vet. Bloated tummies means worms. Over the counter medication will not treat all the types of worms that they can be carrying. They are also nearing the age of getting shots. A vet can better tell their age and they will be due to get their shots soon. I wuld also have them tested for FIV and FLIV just to make sure they are OK.

If you cannot afford to have them seen by a vet..then I would contact a local rescue group about finding someone to care for them.

Bloated belly can also be FIP not always, but sometimes and something that needs to be ruled out. I will move this to health and nutrition but these babies need a vet to see them regardless
