Poor you also. I am keeping you and the remaining 2 in my prayers.
Please let us know what the vet says.

Becky, I am so very very very sorry. She is in peace with the others and cared for, happy. You are such a giver of pure love and so supportive to everyone else. I pray only for the best outcome with the others.
Love,
Elizabeth

Becky I'm so sorry! I can't even imagine how I'd feel. I guess so far I've been pretty lucky, but then again all of my fosters have been between 7 and 12 weeks when I got them.

Hugs to you, and "stay healthy" vibes for the two little ones!

Oh Becky, I'm so sorry! I hope the necropsy doesn't show Distemper to be the cause. Losing 3 out of 5 kittens is horrible, I know.
I used to foster -- now that I know I have distemper germs throughout my entire 2800 sq ft house, I can't foster a kitten or unvaccinated adult for the next 5 years. I've learned that unless a room is "fogged" with a special disinfectant, distemper germs can live for up to 6 Years, and it's so easily transmitted I carried it from my foster room to the rest of the house on my shoes before I even knew it was there! I write this as a warning to anyone who does foster or rescue -- Beware! A necropsy is well worth any cost.
I do hope the other kittens grow to healthy & happy for you.

Thank you again for your kind words and prayers. It really does help to have friends who understand.

Monday my 5 y/o son Shane was playing video games in the kitten room. Twice he came running to me, because Twinkie was asleep on his side, and Shane was afraid he had died. The second time, Shane said, "When you pick him up, if he is stiff, that means he died."

The second time, Twinkie was so sound asleep, I didn't see him moving, so I touched him gently. I startled him so much that he jumped totally to his feet, wide awake! While I was glad to see him doing fine, I felt bad for startling him, and bad for Shane to have to worry so over our babies. But I was worrying, too!

I am more at ease now. Twinkie and Smartie are so cute together. They are growing up so quickly! When they are fully weaned, Sugartoes will be spayed, and she will never have to go through this again! She is a very loving, caring Momma, but I think she is physically depleted from her frequent litters, and just didn't have what the babies needed. It is time for her to settle down and just be a loving cat.

Again, thanks for being so caring!

I'm sorry I saw this so late. To be honest, I hardly come near "Crossing the Bridge" because its too upsetting for me. I'm so sorry Becky.
