Thanks guys

The news reports are pretty un-clear atm. They are saying only two ppl are confirmed dead but it is expected for that number to rise. They are saying that there is still a rescue operation happening in Kings Cross in one of the train tunnels - if thats the case then ppl have been trapped since 9am ish this morning and it's now after 2pm...

We have another office in Brick Lane, London, which is right next to Aldgate where one of the blasts happened. One girl from our office was on the train behind and heard the blast and got caught up in the commotion. She is at work, but in total shock
Poor thing.

I just started another thread in this forum about the bombings before I saw this one. Maybe a Mod can merge them. I am praying for you.

I just heard it on my way in to work this morning. What is the matter with these people? Why in hell don't they just blow up their own countries and leave the rest of us alone.

Don't they realize their actions only make people HATE them and that they aren't making any statement other than the fact that they are BARBARIANS compared to the rest of the CIVILIZED world.

Get into the 21st century I say.

Can you tell I'm a touch angry?

Stupid idiots.

*Trying to insert a bit of levity into the situation...*

Gee, those French were quick in retaliation for losing the Olympics!

Okay, lame, I know. But that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the headlines on my ISP homepage.

Gilly, take care. Try to eat a little something. Sending lots of {{{{{vibes}}}}} and hugs.

Same to everyone else across the pond. Hope you and yours are okay.

Thoughts are with all you guys in London, made my blood run cold when I heard the news this morning. Like so many people, I have friends who work in the city and it's awful to think something like this could happen so easily.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
According to the news a terror group linked to Al Qaeda has said it carried out the terror attacks.

They also said how they will have all Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western corners of the UK terrified.

45 are reported dead

That's exactly what I thought at first! Then I thought it might be something to do with the G8 summit.....

The girl next to me, her boss is getting so confused that he just text her and asked,

"whats my home phone number?"

Sometimes you do have to laugh at times like this. I might need even more support from you lot tonight if I have to kip here....! How on earth can I sleep at my desk?

I have just read an update on the situation in London with tears in my eyes.
I just can't believe it. I am so sorry and my heart goes out to all of you. As someone who was in Washington DC on 9/11 I know how scary and frightening this all is. And how maddening. Everybody stay safe and all who are affected will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Gilly, think you can steal a roll of toilet paper or paper towels for a pillow?

Yes, laughter is helpful at times like this.

We have a stock pile of loo paper already (being girls & all that!)

My boss just called and said that if I do have to stay, he said to go to one of the posh restaurants round the corner and have a slap up meal and he would pay for it!!!!
All I seem to think about is food!

Yes, I just heard that, too! I know a lot of people on TCS are from the UK, and if you are, could you post here, saying you're okay? I know we'd all greatly appreciate it.
