What are some domain name buying places that you have a good experiences or bad experiences with? Any that you'd recommend?

I want to get one for personal use - but don't know exactly where to begin!

I went through www.omnis.com . I never once had a problem with them, so I never had to contact them for anything, so I don't know if that's good or bad, but I recommend them at least.
