Hello...I have written in about this before but...My 9 month old cat pepper is still suckling on my skin. The really wierd thing is that he puts spit on our arms and then he suckles it back off. He will be a year old in 3 months. My auntie has a friend that's kitten suckled, but it quit quickly after it started. Does anyone know why he still does it?

Thanks

It could be that he is looking for comfort and security.
Ripley (7 months old) will suck on my fingers at night when we go to bed.

Tasha,

That is usually a sign that a cat has been separated from it's mother too soon. My cat MooShoo does that too. Only he sucks on his own teat. It is comfort for him so I don't try to stop him. It's like a kid sucking his thumb.

Boo is almost 5, and he still tries to "get ear" on anyone who'll let him, including houseguests he's just met. He has, however, become less zealous in his quest for those yummy ears as he's aged.
