About 2 weeks ago I got a new kitten. He is now about 14 weeks old...and for some reason he loves the taste of iced tea and soda. I can't keep it away from him! I don't actually give it to him, but its not uncommon for someone in my house to leave a half full glass laying around. Is this ok for him to have? He seems to be fine, but I don't want him to get sick...

Hmmmm....interesting question. Never though about it before. I'd like to know, too. Tea and many sodas have caffeine; I don't suppose that's particularly good for cats. They're more sensitive to stimulants than people.

I don't a little lick will hurt him but I would tell the people in your house to finish thier pop or put it in the fridge when they are done as a pose to leaving it out.

i wouldn try to keep it away from him as much as possible. i would be worried about the sugar substitutes in them as well as the high amounts of caffine and E numbers.
