Spay at 14 weeks?

I have two cats (a male and a female) that were spayed/neutered at 6months. When I took my new kitten to the vet to get her inital shots, they told me I could bring her back to be spayed in 3-4 weeks (this would make her 14-16 wks). I was surprised since I had never heard of that before.

I have seen a few articles that talk about it being easier on the cat. Has anyone had a cat spayed at that age?

No I havent but after reading alot I do think I need to thank Hissy ... I will do that with all animals going forward
