My privacy was VIOLATED!

I was taking a long hot bath after a hectic day, and almost fell asleep. Suddenly I opened my eyes and there was BENJI! He was standing on the side of the tub on a pudddle of water on the shower curtain. He kept looking down at the water and looking at me and then down at the water again. He was fascinated by the fact I was IN the water but looked at me like he thought I was nuts.

THEN I drew back the curtain so he could get out, and THERE was Panther! HE was lying on the counter looking in at me too!

What's a poor woman to do to protect her privacy from two Rapscillian boys!

I can totally relate! Whenever I take a bath, I've got Pete hanging over the edge of the tub playing in the bubbles, Katie either lying next to the tub on the bathmat or pawing at the shower curtain to play and Gracie sitting on the toilet seat watching. So much for privacy, but it's so cute that they want to be with us no matter what we're doing.

Lay back and glory in it?

MIne all insist on sharing the bathroom. That is why, in my siggy, Dushka is in her favourite bathroom place, in the bidet. Ellie sits on the mirror shelf admiring herself and Persil plays with the bubbles until I throw some at her, when she retreats in confusion.

Right now, my shower is OUTSIDE, consisting of 3 trucker's tarps..well, Icy loves to watch me shampoo my hair, and Cindy came along to see what was so interesting, took a look, her ears stood up as up as they could, then Cindy quickly looked away, as if saying, "EEWWW, thank GOD I have FUR!!". ...

Tailer and Forese always have to come in the bathroom with me, too. When I'm on the toilet Forest will flop at my feet and demand belly rubs, and Tailer likes to sit inside my underwear and purr up at me. (I have no idea why I put up with that!)

Forest leaves when the shower water goes on, but Tailer will sit between the shower curtain and liner and yell at me. I always imagine he's saying "Mom!! What are you doing?!? It's WET in there!!!"

Sakura has that whole are-you-nuts look on her everytime i have a bath. Sometimes it looks like shes thinking "if you drown im not coming in after you"

That is so funny.
Maybe they were just deciding how long they would wait before they would jump in and save you from that mean, mean ol' water.

What privacy in the bathroom? Does privacy exist with cats?!?

Whenever I start to fill the bathtub up in the morning, Peppy starts to meow her head off and will NOT STOP MEOWING until I get into the tub. As soon as I get in, Peppy, Spikey, Buddy and Tango will immediately get on the edge of the tub and proceed to drink. After drinking to their satisfication, Spike, Peppy and Tango tend to get off and relax nearby on the bathroom floor, sink or on toilet.

Buddy will STAY ON THE TUB edge until I get out. Often he'd be stare at me then come up to my face and give me headbutts and dip his tail in the water.. As he'd pull his tail out, he'd act so surprised! Many times, I'd be petting him OR he'd be grooming himself and he'd accidently fall into the water.. What amazes me is that after he grooms himself dry, he'd immediately jump up on the edge.. He doesn't learn!?

If I stay in the tub for a while then others will jump up on the edge to check on me, stare at me like I'm nuts, sip a bit more then drive me nuts with their headbutting while I spit their fur out.

Zebra has STARTED to jump up on the bathtub edge ONCE IN A WHILE to check on me but most of the time, she'd just stroll into the bathroom, stare at me for a few min to make sure I was still breathing/moving then she'd stroll out.

THEN as the water drains, Spikey would jump into the tub while there's still 1 inch of water and slowly walk toward the drain hole while Buddy bats at the faucet.

What a couple of peeping toms!

Oliver is a regular fixture at bathtime at my house--until I turn on the jacuzzi jets--then he's outta there! Emma usually stops by to say "hi" and then she loses interest pretty quickly.
I reccomend closing the bathroom door

Oh that is scary isn't it to see a pair of eyes staring back at you! The times I have been in the shower and had someone just sitting there staring at me! I really do wonder sometimes what on earth he must think!

Susan....your pic of Rosie peeking over the edge at you is exactly what Summer does when I'm taking a bath. She will look over at me and the water almost the entire time I'm there. If I put my razor on the bathtub ledge when she does that, she will bat it into the water and watch it fall and spash in the water. She will do this repeatedly if I keep putting it back. When I'm getting ready in the morning, she will run back an forth on the edge of the tub between the liner and the shower curtain....what little followers we all have!

Bakker will usually be curled up in the bathroom sink waiting for me to come out of the shower. The others really don't stop in the bathroom.

No, thats what their like when i fill the bath with bubbles, so i knew i would catch them with the camera, which is why i took it in the bathroom that night
