Is it OK for cats to eat nuts?

One of my Bengals would give his right paw for pistachios! He comes running as soon as we open the can and won't leave our sides until we've finished snacking. One time, he about dislocated his shoulder trying to retrieve a pistachio that had fallen under the coffee table.

I know chocolate is bad for cats (or any animal for that matter) but what about nuts?

While I didn't find a specific listing that they are, I'd still withhold giving any more of them until you've checked with your vet.
