I posted a couple days ago about moving my cat food to a high place so that my dogs dont eat the cat food. But I was thinking about it and i dont think Fez is ready for that yet, i dont think he will know where to go, so i came up with an idea, i just dont know if it will work.

I have a cat carrier thats big enough for the two adults to go in one at a time and the two kittens can fit in it together. The dogs cant get in there. I was thinking of putting the food bowls in the back of the carrier and keeping the carrier where their food bowls are normally.

Do you guys think this will work? Would they mind going in the carrier to eat?

That's hard to say it might be ok. Most people with dogs feed their cats on a counter top etc. If he isn't ready to jump up there you could always lift him up, or maybe create a step for him.

I tried something like that when Izzie was a kitten and I didn't want Charlotte (the older cat) to eat Izzie's food. I had a relatively large size cat crate and replaced the front entrance gate with a piece of cardboard (from pizza box). I cut a small hole for Izzie to climb through to get her food. I think it could work in your situation. I, personally, don't like the idea of my cats eating off the counter top, but that's up to you.

Here's a link that Hissy posted for something like this....... http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54747

I believe it's called a Nekofeeder
