Arrrghhhh I am having a mini-crisis.

I have so much to do in the flat (housework, sorting stuff etc blah), so much to do at work, so many events to go to this summer (3 weddings, bar b q's etc) I feel like I can't get organised. I should be looking forward to some of these events yet I am getting nervous and anxious.

It's silly but all these little things are getting on top of me. I don't normally have this much stuff to do so I think my coping method is just to ignore it all and pretend it's not happening......

Anyone fancy coming round to wash my 2 and a 1/2 week old bedsheets for me?

(oh and plus, I am having period problems again
)

Send over the bed sheets huns as im about to put mine in the wash and mine were 2 weeks old too
Sorry that was a lie... it was over 3 weeks old but hence i wasnt here for 10 days haha

Well, things to sort out at home i can give you an advice put everything in one basket, if you have alot of paper to sort out buy a folder and hole puncher things, put everything you NEED In the folder and everything else in the bin!
You should see this much paper that needs to be sorted out here and im going to do it today, when i think of it, it actually doesnt take more than 30 minutes.
Just do everything one at a time
for example,
Take the bedsheets off, put them in the wash start the wash and have a cup of tea and post 3 - 5 times on tcs, then get up and start another job ect.
this is how i get through the day hahaha right now i had a pause because the phone rang.

Im vaccuming my carpet and rolling it up because its all dirty, bf had break fluid on his shoes and didnt realise so yes.. its all over the pink carpet!

I'd help you out Gilly!

Make sure you take some time out to relax tonight, hide the washing and chill!

I get times like that - actually, a majority of the time! - My family and friends call it my 'Non-mode'!
Funny thing is, I still manage to get everything done!

I am normally so organised, so clean and tidy ( you saw the pics of my flat right? ) Well this last 2 months I have just given up... blah
It's mental, cos like you say Sar, it is a non-mode. My mind is willing but when I try and do something I just flop on the bed/watch tv or something.

I did relax last night, only to find that I fell asleep at 8.30pm (in my work clothes) and woke up at 1.30am with Guinness dropping his soggy toy in my face...

The garden is getting over grown too. My response is to ignore it!

About 6 months ago I started to paint the bathroom walls. I only managed to paint halfway up. Finally on Friday (just gone) I finished this job. There's lots of little jobs all over the place like that where I have started with amazingly good intentions then just don't finish them. It's stressing me out.

Fwan, I am not scared of the hoover... hehe I leave that to Mr Guin. I just wish someone would come and hoover for me. Being single and living alone it gets annoying that you have to do EVERYTHING. Only sometimes mind. I was cursing today after the bin men had been that I had to put the bins back

I am having a winge so just bear with me!.... Cos I am depressed big time atm I am making mountains out of molehills. Next week I will think that I can fly and save the world knowing me!

Oh I had so much paper work a few months ago - plus all the legal flat stuff, bills, ****, etc etc. Well I bought myself a mini-filing cabinet and filed it all away. Yet two months later I once again have this massive pile of stuff. It's all in the bedroom drawer - out of sight, out of mind....

I was thinking that last week - I should write a little list of things that I need to do and do them one at a time. But, I have to finish the job before I start the next cos otherwise I will be back to square one again stressing that there's so many things to do.

I am going shopping now - nothing like a bit of retail and cha ching at the cash points to cheer me up!

You whine on all you want chick!, were all entitled to have one now and again!!.

Ok so you need to get motivated!.

Rome wasn't built in a day as they say, and you only have one pair of hands so you can't do everything at once?!.

Set yourself a routine and do it bit by bit, but also giving yourself some quality time as well otherwise you'll get fed up and down like how you are?!.

What i do with my routine is to do my grocery shopping on a monday, and thursday evening before i have tea i do all my housework, saturday is when i do my washing, then i iron it all on sunday afternoon, but by having a routine it's done at a leisurely pace

Gilly this is the perfect thread for me too! Please continue whining. I am in a similar boat. Except I am moving and looking at all the boxes to pack in the old apartment and all the things to put together in the new place is stressing me out to the max!

Then there's all the papers I need to file, the laundry I need to do...etc...It's never ending!

Today is crunch time though. Our moving men are coming tomorrow morning at 8 am so I better get done.

Good luck getting everything accomplished. It will all happen in time.

That is a very good piece of advice - I just have to learn to take advice and also, not expect too much from myself.

After my lunchtime retail (two DVD's, a pair of shoes, 3 tops...
) I have decided that tonight I am just going to do the bedsheets and any washing that can go with the bedsheets (dark stuff) then I shall try and relax and watch tv. Then tomorrow evening, will be the next job to do.... I shall report back with how I get on

Good luck with the move and feel free to join in on the whining!

When I moved to my flat, I was quite lucky cos I was moving from a rented flat in the same street as the flat I had purchased! We did get funny looks though when we were carrying my mattress down the middle of the road!

Gilly,

I do this, too - sometimes feel so overwhelmed by it I don't even start. I don't kow if this will help, but maybe you could do a list of what things are the most important to you to get done or the ones that you absolutely have to get done and prioritize them. Don't do like I do and underestimate how long it takes to get the job/project done - allow enough time and make certain that you "schedule" in some time to enjoy something you like that day

I feel your pain to much to do and not enough time. I finally just finished weeding my big perennial border that hasn't seen my hands since mid April!!!!
I to try to have a routine but that always doesn't work.
If I don't go out during my lunch hour I will bring ppwk/old magazines to look through during lunch. Breaking down tasks in small segments really seems to help.

I'll wash your sheets if you'll wash mine!

I have a ton to do today, that HAS to get done, but I am sitting here because I just don't want to do it!

We all go through these ruts sometimes. We are here to listen to you whine!

I am feeling slightly better today..

I got a ****e load done last night - two loads of washing (including bedsheets), put new bedsheets on, hoovered the whole flat then did the very small amount of ironing that I had to do. I also cleaned the stainless steel, made it so shiny I nearly put my sunglasses on!

My plan for this evening is to wash the wooden floors. They have not been done for at least two months
I have found "Guinness trails" of little muddy footprints everywhere! It's been raining so much down here that he brings all the muck in with him. He actually likes playing out in the rain too

Thanks again everyone. I am sure I will be back again when I find something else to whinge about!

We had rain yesterday too - but then again, I do live in the rainy capital!

I'm glad you got some stuff done, Gilly!
I bet you feel so much better having some of it sorted!
