We bought our house at the end of December from two retiring Botany professors. Needless to say, our yard is full of gardens. The pictures that I am sharing are just a few of the yard. Everywhere you look, we have plants and trees.

I live up here in cold New England, so I would love to see some other gardens, especially some from warmer climates.

C'mon, let's see your green thumbs!!!!!

I wish I had a yard... I live in the state where you are supposed to be able to grow almost ANYTHING, but I am a first story apartment in a shady area so I do what I can....

Last summer I shocked everyone by growing some tomatoes despite the lack of sunshine...

I have no yard really. Just grass, colovers, some weeds, and a dead tomato plant......so how about pictures of my Grandparents yard? I hope to have one that looks something more like this someday.

Here is the newest garden. In the bottom right hand corner you can see some of Gram's herb garden.

This garden is around what used to be the tree we swang from as kids. The girl is my cousin's daughter.

This is what I used to call 'Grandpa's Garden' for some reason. I think because it was opposite Gram's. Grandpa also made the arbor. (and any birdhouses/dodads you see.)

Here you can see Grandpa talking with my Mother. The garden to the bottom right is the vegetable garden. It's fenced in because of bunnies and things.

Here is a nice closeup of the new garden. It doesn't have a name yet.

There are tons more gardens back there besides the front yard but that's all the pictures I have. I don't even have pics of the new patio Grandpa laid by hand this spring. He's 82 or 83 now. Gardening is one of his passions. Thier home is a haven for the family. It's amazing how much work he does. I guess since he keeps moving he just keeps going! I love my Granndparents, they are awesome people.

Here in Sarajevo I have a very steep front garden where I have built a rockery and water cascade.

Just to remind ourselves - here is my back yard in winter!

I really love Rigel's garden with the cats. I am getting ideas for my new place - starting from scratch again, but at least there will be space to play with. To answer you Fwan on language, we speak Bosnian, which is a variant of Serb-Croat, a Slav language allied to Russian and Polish. Since the war, Serb-Croat doesn't exist as such, it is now called by its three variants, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian, though everyone understands each other. A sad reminder that language can be political.

They left you with an amazing garden there! Make sure you look after it cos all that stuff is well planted and mature!

Here's my half of the back garden in East London:

Ha! That pic is from March Susan - if I take a pic tonight you will see the "gay boys" side of their garden is nearly as high as my fence
It is so annoying cos all their weeds and crap grow through to my plants.

I might call their landlord and ask him to ask them to sort it out, cos I already asked them once! Guinness loves it though cos he sleeps in the weeds and grass. He comes back inside covered in all these little bits of things! hehe

Plus he can hide and then suddenly jump out on BamBam etc
I don't like it when he gets slugs stuck to his fur though
There are millions of sluggys in those boys garden - even more now cos I throw mine over the fence as punishment for them not cutting the stuff down!
