Cotton and Gizmo were feral kitties I trapped at about 6 weeks of age. They
are the two most affectionate cats we have now. One of the other three
was a "give away" at Wally Word and he was probably not even six weeks, and the other two I rescued from the shelter when they were 3 or 4 months
old. All 5 are neutered males, now about 12-15 months old and the two that are all over me for attention are the ferals. Hummm, hadn't thought about it before I read the article. Interesting. All are firendly and our mobile vet was quite impressed with their socialization. He thought all five had to be from same litter.

only thing i didnt like was the emphasis on the kittens being under 7 weeks. if you gave it your all i'm sure kittens of any age could be socialised.
Apparently not, if you believe that study. But when I was a kid, we got a feral kitten from one of the cats that was living on the street. He was older than 7 weeks, I am sure, and spend about a month or so under the bed. We thought there was no hope for him but eventually he got out and become a great pet.
