stick their noses where it does not belong without knowing the whole story? I am so mad right now. I made a post on one of my horse boards about trying to sell two of my horses, because right now..ex number one is taking us through the ringer..here is the post exactly as i made it:

68456.1

Regrettably offering my two young ones. This breaks my heart, but Steves ex's are dragging us through the ringer, and unitl we get moved which I hope is soon but am not sure, I need to lower the feed bill.

SH Foxy Lady aka Mishka,Triple Registered, HAHR, PHRI, and Ptha Bay breeding stock Pintabian verified over 99% Arabian, three socks, star, strip and snip. I have to stick her, but i would place her at about 14 14.1 right now, needs a little weight, we have been working on it. Nice typey mare, can be a little shy, but easy to work with once you have her in hand. Halter broke, ties, leads, stands for the farrier, bathes, clips, photos avalible.Full Pedigree also avalible. All reasonable offers considered.

SF Vixen's Tita Laira aka Laira, Registered HAHR, 3/4ths Arabian, Black with one small white cresent on her head. This gal is short, but she is fast, and full of arabian snort. She means alot to me, she is the first daughter of my mare Vixen. in your pocket type of girl, can be hard to catch, I wont lie about that. And needs some work with the farrier, we have been working on that. Once you have her caught however, she is a sweety, she leads, ties, loads, clips, bathes and has started some work on lungeing. She is small, I havent sticked her but i would say shes around 13hh or so. Shes smaller than Vixen who is 13.3, but she has grown some on her new proper nutrition. Photos avablible, Full Pedigree as well.

Now I realise perhaps the opening line was not the most professional, but i do not see what was so horrible about it? This is a Public Message board, with many people I know and love and they know how much these horses mean to me. and such..and how hard i worked to get them BACK. So i thought I deserved them a little bit of a as to why...so they didnt ask 20 million times. like they usually do.

and this is the reply i got from someone...whom...well for being nice..always seems to be trying to start something.

"Nothing to do with your horses but as an "ex" myself who is owed thousands in back support and unpaid medical bills for my children I found that very offensive. I'm sure you don't want to offend any potential buyers by that line. I know as an "ex" even if I wanted one of your horses I'd look elsewhere."

Now..why would you post that? why not just move on? Hmm? She doesnt know the whole story....just because she is owed money...doesnt mean everyone out there is a dead beat dad..Grr i am so mad. She can look elsewhere..not skin off my back.

sounds like she's just really bitter right now. I read it and didn't think there was anything wrong with it, and took no offense to it at all. It was your honest reasoning for why you are trying to find them new homes.

Did you respond to the lady?

Nope I didnt and I wont. She sounds bitter to me. I mean why reply in a public forum to a horse for sale ad like that? Its not like I said all exs are bad. I didnt even call the ex a bad name..just stated matter of factly she is taking us through the ringer..

She just sounds bitter. Besides, you are selling two beloved animals to pay child support, rather than just ignoring the children and refusing to pat AT ALL!

Just feel sorry for her, she obviously has issues with a dead beat ex who refuses to pay, and has so little going on in her sad life that she's trying to take out her spite on people on messageboards! Pathetic really.

Just remember how upset you were by the nasty e-mail from Steve's daughter and/or ex. Sometimes these family battles are enough to make anyone lose their perspective. I also think of ex's that are dad's as jerks, because mine is (my ex that is). I even thought about advising you in the other post not to sue for custody, because the Mom would make your life and the girl's life h*ll. (But decided not to because I wasn't sure I was being fair!) I've been divorced for about 15 years, and have had plenty of time to recover.

So yes, she was wrong. But consider her to possibly be the walking wounded. And you don't want her to have your babies anyhow. She doesn't sound very nice!

I'm sorry your situation has come to this. I hope you find another way to pay the lawyer!

Although I think her response was a bit un-called for and a bit assuming, Not to mention rediculous, I think that posting your personal reasons for the sale of anything along with the ad for sale, isnt necessary for the sale of your horse, and/or any other item you plan to sell. Just keep the ads short & sweet to get the information to the potential buyer. Most buyers dont like to look at alot of script when looking at an ad.

I do agree on that level. But on the same level, this is a board where most of the posting will list a personal reason..simply because we are all so close. All my ads on other sites reguarding the same horses, are sweet to the point nothing personal in them.
