Hair puller

Ano, here's the problem, Lunar, my older cat has this strange fixation with sniffing my hair then trying to bite and pull it out. It's not that big a deal other than the teeth digging into my skull and the fact that he gets kinda cranky afterwards. I'm just trying to figure out why and how to stop it. Any ideas?

I dont know how to stop it but Zoey grooms me... thou she sounds more gentle than yours..

It could be just that Lunar likes the smell. Or it could be a manifestation of a behavior problem called "wool sucking". (google for more info).

One of our cats likes to groom my husband's goatee with his teeth. Not surprisingly, Shawn does not really enjoy this.
