I am using revolution for my cats(2nd application after two weeks) which seem to have sarcoptic mange clearly. However, this mange is so bad, and it bites me too. I'm losing my mind, itching all over. Has anyone else been there? Please tell me I'm not alone! I'm just praying that this mange subsides. But we now live where it's 90 degrees and 75 % humidity in PA everyday. I think the weather is going to support this condition all summer and I'm going to struggle continuously. Different web sites say that the mites live 1,3 day or 3 weeks off of the cat's bodies? If anyone know anything about this, please H-E-L-P.

Not sure about cats but my puppy was on something called ivermectin(?) for mange mites. Revolution has something similar in it but may not be enough of a dose check with your vet. Best of luck to you and the furrys

My cats had sarcoptic mange 4 times. He's 15 and picks it up every time he catches a field mouse. The mites breed and spread rapidly thru the house and as soon as I feel the pin pricks (bites) on my legs when he's on my knee he's in the bath (lime sulphur) and the whole house is vacuumed and sprayed with Acclaim. Bath the cat and spray the house every 4-5 days, 3 sessions and they're usually gone, but its hard work. The whole house needs to be done including beds all soft furnishings curtains throws etc behind radiators down cracks everywhere!
I put a moth ball in my Hoover bag too.
Hope this helps it works for me.

My cat has been diagnosed with probable mange. The vet never mentioned a need to do all that cleaning. Have treated with advocate 2 times now, 2 weeks apart, third and possible 4th dose to go. Some improvement in the initial area but still seem to be getting more, less severe ones. Treated other cats in house, no sign of it on them. Any suggestions. Happy to stick it out for the full treatment before panicking
