Need advice for my sick kitty

Django, my outdoor tabby, has been sleeping all day long--not that unusual. But I found a very large poop with quite a bit of undigested matter (maybe a mouse or gopher?) in the middle of the floor (he NEVER poops inside). I also noticed that his eyes have a bit of mucous in the inside corners, and he seems just slightly warmer than normal. He did get up and spend some time outside, and ate a little. I am worried about him, but it's now the weekend and a call to the vet would be an "emergencies only" kind of call. Any ideas?

I don't know where you are located but many vets offices are open on Saturday, though usually only a half day. I would truly recomend looking through the phone book and find one that is an might be able to see him tomorrow.

Oregon's major cities have lots of vets open on Saturdays too. I'd check your area and see if you can't get him an appt somewhere. I'd be concerned enough to take him to an emergency vet if that's what it takes. Hopefully whatever he ate just upset his tummy -- but you never know.
