Can you believe the size of that fish?

It is sad that it died, but at least they ate it so that it didn't go to waste, instead of mounting it as a trophy or something.

That is a huge fish. I hope that they ate him so his death was not wasted.

Well when you have to eat you have to eat!! can't blame them for being hungry.

That fish was big enough to feed the whole village. I'd rather see that, than it be mounted on someone's wall.

Bet they didn't have any cornmeal and buttermilk, though.

I saw that yesterday! I was totally amazed at how HUGE that fish was! I had no idea that part of the world had such large fish in their waters.

True, fwan, but you might be surprised to know that Germany also has huge catfish ("Wels"). We had an enormous one, dubbed "Nessie", in our local lake for decades. Somebody finally caught it, and it was 6 ft. long. I thought it was a shame that Nessie wasn't put back in the water. A few weeks ago, some fishermen in Baden-Württemberg reported an "alligator" in a lake. A search only turned up a huge catfish, which is thought to have been the one that ate a dog swimming in that lake last year.

OMG!!!! A fish ate a dog???? In that case, I don't think I'd let my children swim in the lake.

Supposedly they have no teeth and don't eat humans, but I'm not so sure, because they will eat water fowl.
