Holy crap that was awesome!!!!

I haven't been watching it all day, but I just so happened to flip it on when Dave Matthews Band (my FAVORITE!) was performing.
'twas also good to see Madonna do some "oldies"

I saw that. I think I'm going to be spending the next few weeks watching the "live streams" on the AOL site to see the stuff I missed. I've had one TV channel on all day, and it keeps switching cities, so I'm sure I missed a lot.

Yeah, that did rock! I like LP but was never keen on the whole Jay-Z thing, so I hadn't heard any of their stuff with him. I'm suprised, it was really good!!

Heh, I've had the TV on all day, and watching the live streams from other cities when there was someone on that I didn't like (since only one channel here was showing it, and focused mostly on the Canadian concert). I'm going to check out the other bands I missed, there's a tonne of them!

It was awesome - I have had it on all day. The Who gave another outstanding performance as they have in the past
I personally would have rather watched the bands in England vs. US all day but for some reason the coverage here didn't start until noon so many bands in the UK had already been on.

I had to laugh at one point, I saw a clip of Jet in Canada and I think there might have been 10 people out of 10,000 moving . What's up with that Canada girl?

I missed The Who.. but is it really the same without Keith Moon and John Entwistle?

Someone said this seems bigger than Live Aid but I think Live Aid had a lot more "big" acts. Joan Baez, Elvis Costello, Four Tops, B.B. King, Black Sabbath, Run DMC, Phil Collins, Sting, Queen, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Crosby/Stills/Nash, Judas Priest, Beach Boys, George Thorogood & the Destroyers, Simple Minds, Pretenders, Santana, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Neil Young, Led Zep (minus John Bonham), Duran Duran, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan...

I guess I am just biased when it comes to music.. I know it's for a good cause but I can't stand bands like Linkin Park, Destiny's Child, Jay Z, Puff Daddy, Good Charlotte

I had it on for part of the day too. Really fun collection of musicians. I'm on the email list for www.one.org and have been getting their reminders about all the events leading up to the G8 meeting. I've been looking forward to Live 8 too and what I saw of it was not a disappointment!

Didn't see any of it. I noticed that it was on VH1 and MTV while I was on the elliptical at the gym yesterday, but I'll be honest and say I plugged my headphones into the machine and switched it over to the Simpsons (we have about 5 different channels on 10 different TVS in the cardio area) and watched that instead while I worked out. It just didn't seem as worthwhile as the original.
