I'm old enough to remember "Live Aid", and definitely plan on watching as much as possible of its "sequel" on Saturday, either on TV or on line. How about you?

I'll be watching, maybe have a little "party" at my house with some friends who want to watch it too. We are all rock and roll nuts.

I actually wanted to go to the Philly concert, but none of my friends were crazy enough to agree to go.
I may try to check some of it out tomorrow, especially since my fave band, Dave Matthews, is performing.

I also remember Live Aid, and may watch Live 8, for the simple fact that Neil Young is on the bill.

BTW, Tricia, I love the new Jamie avatar. He looks royally perturbed.

Some of the original Live Aid lineup-Duran Duran, the Cure, Madonna, U2 (I think). Also newer groups-Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5.

I'm planning on listening to it on the radio-one of the local stations is carrying the concert live.

BTW, I still listen to "Do they know it's Christmas" every year...

Thanks, Jenn! I'm constantly on the lookout for the "perfect" avatar, and this one seems to fit the bill, since Jamie's tail is constantly in motion. Oh, the joys of "owning" a hyperactive kitty cat!

Will it be broadcast on Cable or regular TV? I don't have Cable, so unless it's on regular TV, I can't watch it.

I don't know about the U.S., Hope. I've been watching it on cable TV in Germany for over 9 hours (the furniture is vibrating - thank goodness the neighbors are on vacation, so that I can turn it all the way up and hear soemthing). Several "normal", i.e., non-cable stations are also broadcasting it. Try AOL - German AOL is showing it. http://music.channel.aol.com/live_8_...e/germany_main

Here's the link for the U.S: http://music.aol.com/

I hope I'm not "dating" myself now......BUT....Pink Floyd totally rocked!! Wow!! My son is 12 and listens to them all the time. Both of us watched but I don't think he "really" got it. This is the REAL stuff!! Not a huge fan of the band but to see & hear them live is totally awesome

OMG, their performance was amazing! It sent chills down my spine watching them!! Definitely the highlight of the day for me, and I've been watching it all day!! Heck, my two fave bands played (Our Lady Peace and U2) and their performances were no where near as awesome as Pink Floyd's!!
