Hello. My 3 week old kitten just pottied and I noticed that his stool was the color of mustard and im not sure but it looks slimey. Is this normal? I think my husband might have given him too much KMR milk today and now I am worried. The only other time he had diarrhea was when i first got him and the the person who gave him to me had given him regular milk. Since that time he has been eating well and his stool has been normal. Should I worry?? Also what exactly is karo syrup and where can i get it?

Thanks, Nancy

I can't really answer your major question, but Karo syrup is a clear corn syrup, you can get it at most any grocery store.

Keep an eye on it - it may be nothing and clear up on its own.

When my young kitten had diorreah, my vet told me to starve her for 24 hours (with just water)

If that didnt work (and it didnt) try feeding cooked Coley fish (bland fish found in the freezer section of a supermarket) and boiled rice. I di this for a couple of days and it worked really well - and she gobbled it up!!

Why do you need Karo Syrup? Mucous in stool can be worms, young kittens often have worms. Yellow stool color is normal for the kitten
