I was wondering if there's a shortcut to resizing pics? As of now, I resize each picture and it's TIME CONSUMING!!!!!!! I am working on resizing some cat pics so I can post in fur pics forum.

Do u know of any shortcuts for resizing? Resize all at once???

MY photos are ALL too big that I post. I get them off of my picturetrail album. Should I get another photo album on another photo site just for here so I can get smaller photos or how Do you resize them?

Well, I usually resize each individual pic as I'm actually "optimizing" them and no two are alike. The settings are going to be different for each pic to get the absolutely best quality at the absolutely smallest file size I can obtain without sacrificing that quality.

But --- I started poking around in PSP (Paint Shop Pro) looking to see if there was such a thing, and it looks like there is a way to do it, but it's not built in. It looks like you have to create the equivalent of a macro (except that they call it a "script"). If you're familiar with word processing you'll know what a macro is---basically just a string of commands that you put together to be run by just one or two keystrokes. Saves time.

I'll mess with it a bit more, and if I can figure out the script, or find one ready made somewhere (I find it hard to believe that someone hasn't already done this) I'll post my findings.

ALTERNATIVELY, there are programs that will "batch process" to re-size images. If you're not familiar with a regular imaging program it might be best to try to find one of these.

If you are using Photobucket, you can resize them down by selecting edit on the uploaded picture. Then select 75%, 50%, 25% and select update. Then double click on it to see how it turned out. This can't be undone so if you resize it down too much, you will need to reload the picture. I used this as a quick way to publish for the Fur Pictures.

I use Paint Shop Pro and I can help you do a "batch" conversion if you'd like. A while ago, I had written a "script" to reduce pictures by 26% (about 532 x 399 pixels). You run the script in a batch conversion. It's rather easy to write a script because you click "start" and it records your mouse clicks.

I'm just getting acquainted with Picasa, and I know there is some batch editing available. Whether it includes batch resizing or not, and what would be involved, I don't know, because I haven't investigated that yet. However, I will.

Meanwhile, if you want to investigate that software yourself, it's a freebie, from Google, here. My first impression is that it has a lot to offer.
