I have had many cats over the years but none that have ever tore up toys like a dog! He will rip away any fabric on a toy and just tear at things until there is nothing left!! Does anyone know why he would do that? I have had cats BITE toys but just not tear and rip at them with his teeth like he does. All his toys (and even some things that werent toys!) are all shredded. Why doesn't he just PLAY with them? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Mine does the same thing! I just figured she is an odd one. Her little furry mice only keep their tails for a couple of minutes & withing few hours they have lost most of their body fur.

Can't leave any wand toy where she can get to it or she chews off the feathers, etc. She also has three of those mesh shower sponges that she loves to have lying around & she tears hunks of the fabric from them too.

I think 'our kids' are just 'bad' kids! just kidding - I think they are just being cats!

Your kitty does the same things as mine!

So strange, really. I have this little stuffed dog that he just goes wild with- he tears at its face like nothing I have ever seen. My cat is so sweet otherwise so it is weird seeing him get so aggressive with the toys. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only with a "bad" kitty! haha! I am only kidding too! My baby is a sweetie.
