Good morning! I go to Petsmart at least twice a week to get Juicy stuff and of course I always have to go see the cats up for adoption. It always makes me so sad seeing them locked up in the cages.

There was a 12 week old kitten with beautiful markings. You can hardly tell in the picture, though, cause it was taken on my cell phone. He is adorable, I want to take him home.

But, more than anything, I want to take this little girl home. They estimate she is about a year old and she only weighs 4 pounds!!! It's what it says on the card anyway. It seems a bit light, but if you could see her you would understand. She has BEAUTIFUL colors and markings. Her face is so sweet and innocent. She is such a petitie princess. I want her sooo much! If only I could bring her home

Here's a couple pics of her. They don't do her justice, though. I really wish you all could see her in person. It breaks my heart that she doesn't have a home.
When I'm petting her, she cries and reaches her arms out to touch me, wanting so badly to be loved and to get out of the cage.

Here's a couple pics. I'll take more of her when I go back tomorrow night.

Please, somebody, drive to Evansville and take this sweet girl home with you!!!

Something that bothered me terribly happened as I was leaving the room where the cats are. A young boy of about 12 years old walked into the room with his friend and then walked out really quick, blurting out loudly, "UH! I HATE CATS" and then muttered something else to his friend and his friend laughed. I'm pretty sure he said something else mean about them, and I'm glad I didn't hear it because I would have wanted to say something mean to him, but one of the boy's parents were with them. I was wanting to ask him why, but I know he would have given me some stupid, idiotic, senseless reason when really he doesn't like cats probably just because his dad or mom doesn't and they have made him *think* that he doesn't/shouldn't like them either.

God love her! She is so beautiful, it breaks my heart to see kitties in cages. That's where I found my Pepper. I had walked by the pet store to see if they had any kittens for sale, when I went by there as two kittens (Pepper and her sister). I went on thinking of going to the SPCA, when I walked past on my way out, Pepper was in the cage all by herself, just looking out so sad. I couldn't leave her I had to take her with me. That's what I think about everytime I see a kitty in a cage, how much they'd like to have a home. I hope someone adopts that precious little darling soon.

I would LOOOOOOOVE to give Juicy a playmate!!! I still live at home with my parents though, and I've hit my pet limit with Juicy and Noodle, and them having Destin already.
I really want to help find her a home, though...

HMMM...what about GEMLADY (Jan)!!! I'm going to have to write her and ask if she wants/needs another cat. I'll even help pay the adoption fee!!!

Hopefully she sees this thread and we can maybe convince her to at least go look at her!!!

Hmmm, looks like we may have to get together on this one Lacey. Think she could stand up to an almost 4 month old "white tornado"?

It says she's 4 pounds, but it was placed over a scratched-out "6 pounds". So, my guess is that she's between 4 and 6. She's so little and beautiful, though!!! I wish you could see her coloring and markings better in that picture!!!

Aw Lacey, both babies are adorable but I'm a little partial to the little girl, too. I wish I could take on another kitty and that I didn't live so far away
She's got you rallying for her cause, so I think she's gonna be OK.
Oh, and I wish that little kid would've tripped on his way out the door for his nasty little comments

Kelly, seriously I wish you could see her in person. That picture makes her look darker, but really she is like a light-brownish red color with pretty-swirly markings! She's such a beautiful little doll!!!

When I was growing up. My grandma had 4 cats. She let them urinate and poop all over the house, they were dirty and had BAD tempers. I got scratched quite often. Alot of my family members are allergic to cats. That's the kind of kitties I knew when I was little. Then, when I was 8, I took home a stray dog. She passed away when I was 17. All of that time I developing into this extreme dog-lover. I never liked cats because of the experiences I had when I was younger. Then, at 21 yrs, I got a kitten for my roommate who loved cats. The kitten fell in love with me. She slept on my chest at night, and I fell in love with her. 3 months later my next door neighbor killed her. It was my first cat! He was one of those little snot-nosed bratty kids (8 years old). He shut her in my front door, crushing her body. I've never felt so much hate for someone in my life! I locked myself in my bathroom for hours, crying. When I came out, I told his older brother that he'd better keep that kid away from me....*bleep bleep bleep*...or else I'd literally attack him. After that, I felt like there was something missing from my life. I would get lonely and depressed a lot. I prayed one night for comfort from God. Then next day, I found an awesome stray kitty. My heart was not empty anymore. Gary is now part of my home and I'm one of the biggest cat-lovers ever.

Maybe it will only take some time for that little 'cat-hater' to fall in love with a furry feline like I have done.

Oh Lacey, bless your heart for being so concerned about those sweet babies!
. They are both precious (but then again, what cat ISN'T??). I really hope they BOTH find furrever homes, especially the pretty little lady.
As for those cat-hating brats....did I hear somewhere that St. Peter, who controls the Pearly Gates, is partial to cat lovers? Hmmm?

I have a 12 year old and his attitude is horrible.. I don't know if it a stage or what but GRRRRRRRRRRRR
He is my own son and I could give him away sometimes. I know he does have a big heart when it comes to animals but he can get mouthy, rough and just plan stupid
. I hope he grows out of it really soon. There is more punishments going on in the past few months then what there had been before. He is just being an idoit. .

As for the kitties I hate seeing them in cages too. It breaks my heart.

She has such similar markings to my PetsMart girl, Carly. Carly is the sweetest most loving cat I have had. I hope someone gives this darling a good home.

I sure hope so!!! You present a good point, though...the kid may have had a bad experience with a cat before. I guess I jumped to conclusions, but it upset me!

Oh holy moly that caT IS GORGEOUS!!! Her patterns look marbled from that picture...almost like a marbled bengal!!!

This kitty looks a lot like that, only lighter-colored and the markings are a bit more subtle.

Yours is stunning, too!!!

My brothers were cat haters as well at that age, and two of them have grown out of it and have kitties. One is severely allergic, so he'll never make peace with cats but at least I know he won't go near them either. The youngest is indifferent to cats but prefers dogs. So there is hope.

I don't like seeing cats in cages, and I really get upset when I see some of the classified postings (private adoptions) on Petfinder.com. People who just got a dog or cat a few months ago and now realize that they don't have time or the pet ties them down. I want to slap them silly! Get a pet rock if you can't take care of a pet properly.
