Needs more gravy!!!

Hi,

Our cat is currently on Friskies for his wet food, but I'd like to switch him to something more nutritious for him. Problem is, he likes the Friskies brand because they have several flavors that have a gravy. He LOVES gravy (he'd take a bowl of that over food, anytime, if he could). Does anyone know of any healthier brands that have lots of gravy?

We've been mixing his food with Nutro (wet) in an effort to slowly convert him over, but he's not touching it.

My cats love the Nutro pouches. They seem to have lots of gravy.

Hmmm, didn't know Nutro had pouches. I'll look for them next time I'm at the petstore.

Yep....lots of gravy!! My guys actually slurp up all the gravy and then eat the morsels! Good luck!

I just did a search for this before I started a new post, and I'm glad I did. I was beginning to think my cat was wierd!
She only likes the gravy from the Nutro pouches, she barely even eats the meat squares!
I tried to feed her wellness a while ago, and it obviously upset her stomach so I never tried it again.

I wonder if maybe my cat just doesn't like wet food. Its such a waste to buy the Nutro packets just for the gravy.....

I also feed her Nutro dry mixed with Friskies (trying to wean her off).

Try squishing the meat squares with a fork then mix them in the the Nutro Pouch gravy. Maybe that will help.

it worked! she ate practically all of it today!
course she probably was hungry from all the coughing up hair balls last nite.

I realize it's been a while since I first posted this thread, but Snicker's asked me to send a thank you to everyone who suggested Nutro pouches for his gravy intake. He LOVES this stuff. He cleans his plate every time!

Mine also love Nutro pouches. Gravy is their favorite part. They never finish the meat but they sure to eat all the gravy.

Thanks for the update Snickers. Dexter & Sadie love their Nutro Pouches too. They lick the gravy then eat all of the meat squares. Yum Yum

It's so funny how all of them does the same thing! Hobbes will lick all the gravy dry before even starting on the meaty stuff. For me, i'd save the best for last.

my older one loves the gravey... my younger one doesnt touch it..

My kitties lick it all dry too before eating the meat chunks, but they do clean it all up.

Mine get one pouch each at 6 pm. I love hearing them slurp slurp slurp as they suck up all the gravy. They eventually get around to the meat, but it's the gravy they love.

I have also tried the nutro canned food that has chunks, not the pate, but they don't like that as much.

I can't wait until we get those just gravy pouches here in NZ. My boy Elmo LOOOOOVES gravy!

her habit is getting expensive!

I feed her Iams pouches mostly, but I always add water to it then microwave. Seems to give it lots more gravy.

I like the gravy in it and the Nutro.
Havent seen the friskies.

Two of mine LOVE the Nutro pouches with the gravy. They both lap up all the gravy, then go after the meat pieces. Harvey doesn't like the pouches...he'll only eat the Nutro Gourmet Classic canned food.
