Ohio - Crosby Stills Nash & Young (and the perfectionist in me has to say, BigDaddy, that it's Ain't Too Proud to Beg)

Everytime that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face gettin' clearer
The past is gone,
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way?

Aerosmith, Dream On..

So don't you shed a tear for me.
Cause I AIN'T THE LOVE YOU'D THOUGHT i'D BE.
I' got a hundred more like you,
I'll have a thousand before I'm through.

For Lovin' Me - Peter Paul & Mary (had to look that one up!)

When I get older losing my hair,
Many years from now.
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings bottle of wine.
If I'd been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door,

Well I was sitting in coffee shop,
Having a cup to pass the time.
Swapping rodeo stories, with this cowboy friend of mine.
When some motorcycle riders sitting in the back, started poking fun at my friends hat....

Listen to this song when you find it. It is really a good one.

This Cowboy's Hat - Chris LeDoux (RIP He will truly be missed)

Through the back window of a '69 wagon,
I watched my best friend Jamie slippin further away,
I kept on waving till I couldn't see her
And through my tears I asked again why we couldn't stay
Mama whispered softly time will ease your pain
Life's about changing nothing ever stays the same

Here is one of my favorites:

The hulk of a man with a beer in his hand looked like a drunk old fool,
And I knew that if I hit him right, I could knock him off that stool.
But everybody said, "Watch out -- that's Tiger Man McCool.

I will give some lyrics to a song, and the next person has to give the title and artist, and then give new song lyrics to guess.

I will start:

Let's play Twister, let's play Risk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
here's the rules again.

Winner - Bobby Bare (haven't heard him in a great while!
)

And since no one's got it yet, I'll repost:

Patty Loveless, How can I help you.

Living on the road my friend, is gonna make you free and clean.
And so you wear your skin like iron, and your breath as hard as kerosene.
You weren't your mama's only boy, but her favorite one it seems.
She began to cry when you said goodbye, and sank into your dreams...

ARGH! This is what's so infuriating about this game - I knew I'd heard that third line somewhere, but I couldn't hear the tune. . . but it's:

Ballad of Pancho & Lefty - Willie Nelson (among others, but his is the classic to me anyway)

My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed
Dried up and bulging out my skull
My mouth is dry
My face is numb
***ked up and spun out in my room

Green Day - Brain Stew

all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

MY ALL-TIME FAVE: In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel

Well I don't give a dang about nothing
I'm singing and Bling- Blanging
While the girls are drinking
Long necks down!
And I wouldn't trade ol' Leroy
or my Chevrolet for your Escalade
Or your freak parade
I'm the only John Wayne left in this town
