Hi

I keep posting about my pregnant Tammy, who I think is due in the next week at least.

Well I think she has become more attentive over the last week, she is very attentive anyway but it has become more noticeable. Also my male cats cant get anywhere near her without her fighting them and hissing at them, she has become quite nasty towards them, but not us humans. I would try to squeeze her nipples gently to see if any milk comes out but she wont let me touch them.

Are these any signs as to how soon she is likely to give birth.

Thanks

Sarah

Sorry......

Also I forgot to add that when she uses the litter tray, she seems to be very angry with the litter when she digs and covers, before and after using it?

Sounds like it's pretty soon! I wouldn't worry about getting milk out yet. As I'm sure you can imagine, they are filling fast, and probably very sore.

She is becoming protective of her young and your males are perceived as threats at the moment. Take this as your warning now - do not let your males anywhere near her babies when they arrive or you will have one very pissed off girl and the possibility of vet bills for your boys.

Digging in the litter box can be an indication that contractions have begun. Does she dig for a long time without actually going and when she does finally go, is there a large or small amount of output?
Best of luck,

~gf~

Sounds like it will be soon.
For my cat, she had to be near me. We went to bed together. She was just lying next to me on a towel. Then dh came to bed and she jumped off.
Before that, we were "talking" to each other. I would ask her if she felt ok and she would mew. Then I told her she would be a great mother and she would mew. It was so cute, like we were really communicating.
She did not dig, go to the litter, no nesting at all. She ate all the way up to and through delivery. She was like normal, only more affectionate.

Good luck!
