Back from Montana

Hi Everyone,
Got back from Montana early yesterday morning. It was great trip. The students helped with a vacation Bible school for children in Billings. We also visited the Crow reservation, learned a lot about Native American culture and visited Yellowstone. What a beautiful place.

I did miss the cats A LOT, but it helped that the nuns we were staying with had a kitty, a beautiful long-haired tuxedo female named Miss Elegance (Ellie for short), so I got my daily fix. When I got home yesterday, Gracie greeted me at the door as usual with plenty meows, kisses and purring. Katie was clearly peeved at me for being gone, but it didn't last long. Pete (my former feral kitten) was hiding initially but has been extremely affectionate since then and even climbed onto my lap last night for the first time!

It's good to be home. I've missed checking in with everyone here.

Welcome back, eilcon! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I chuckled when I read about "your daily fix" - yup, I need those too! Congrats on Pete climbing onto your lap - sounds like your getaway was a good idea all the way around. BTW, will you share some pics? I'd love to find out more about the Crow reservation.

Welcome back!!!!!!!!!! Glad to hear that ur vacation was good and that ur kitties AND u survived without each other for a while.

I can tell you what the Crow Reservation looks like -- flat and boring! just kidding. Those of us who live in rugged Rocky Mtn Western MT always joke about Eastern MT being dull and lifeless, but the truth is it's just as beautiful, in its own way. Eileen, I can't wait to see your pics!
