Hoping maybe someone has an answer!

We have a 6 ft. cat tree in our bedroom, where Cinammon & Fluffy sleep on it. Sometimes when I take a shower I take Tigger in the bedroon with me and put her on the tree ( Cinammon & Tigger...... I've done posts about their "issues" before). Tigger gets very aggressive, almost defensive when she is laying at the top, towards me or my husband. She yells & tries to take swipes at us! And, she's not playing! Could it be that she can smell Cinammon's scent, even when she is not in the room, so she becomes defensive? Or, is Tigger's way of saying it's her cat post until Cinammon comes back in? It's very strange behavior.

It could be the scent. Also, height is very important to cats as a way to signify social hirearchy. Usually, the more dominant cat will take the higher perch. She may not feel comfortable where you put her, or it may be getting to her head that she's in charge
