Alrighty, I am working on picking out dresses for my three bridesmaids, my Jr Bridesmaid (Steves daughter who will be 11) and my flower girl...

So opinions wanted..

Here is my dress...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Here is the dress I am thinking about for Steves daughter, do you think this is appropriate? I want her not to feel like a kid (she is coming to be a young adult) and yet I want it to be appropriate for her age, as well as go along with the other items, i dont want anything to clash horribly, lol

The powder blue seems the best fit

this is the dress i like for my bridesmaids........

http://www.davincibridal.com/changec...6/photo_11.jpg

Trying not to be a "typical tacky" bridesmaid dress lol

here is the one i like for the flower girl..it goes with my dress wonderfully i think..

I really like all of them. I love Davinci Bridal (they made my dress and my bridesmaids dresses). The blue is gorgeous. The flower girl dress will match yours wonderfully. Is the Jasmine dress two pieces? I know that can be great for future wear. I love the periwinkle type color. I think they all look great!

The Jr's dress is good for the age, but I'm not quite sure it matches the style of the others close enough. I would think you'd want it to have the same basic shape/neckline?

I like the flower girl's dress. And the maid's dress is nice, too.

My main consideration when I was picking a dress for mine (I only had my one matron of honor), was that she was heavy set... and short. Do any of your maids have weight problems? If so, you might want to consider how they'll feel wearing the dress you choose for all of them. If one or more is, the A-line dress is great, but you might consider adding a wrap for arm coverage if the lady feels it's required

I love all the dresses. I think the one for your junior bridesmaid is ok. I'm not sure my mother would have allowed me to wear that strap style (she didn't till I was 18 actually...not that I didn't sneak out in em.) at that age. But kids today do wear them. I think it will be nice and grown up. Has she seen it? I'd want to see her in it first before really making a decision.

I have actually already looked into wraps
two of my brides maids are plus size. that was one of my considerations in picking the A-line, its a spring wedding, so i didnt want to go with to much sleeve, and the others that were ok, were kind of...hmm frumpy. and i didnt want that either. But i have made the over to all (i am only have three) for wraps i found that match the dress perfectly

The jr bridesmaid dress...I want it to stand out as somewhat diffrent, so Alex can feel special as well. but go along. I am up in the air about it. it is cut diffrent..but...most of the other ones..are strapless! EEK and there is no one I am gonna let her wear a strapless! that or they look to child like..

I think it is elegant and classy. I agree kids seem to wear whatever they want these days
but i do think its elegant..

she has not seen it yet. I am of course going to show her, and ask her first...dont want to make any assumptions..

I LOVE the sort of medieval theme that it seems to take.

I got married at the Excalibur Hotel - Cantebury Chapel in Las Vegas.
The hotel theme is medeival (sp?) and I just love the dress and etc that goes along with it.

BEAUTIFUL wedding dress and flower girl.
Bridesmaids, seems to fit, not sure about Steve's daughters dress with the theme, but it is very pretty.

Another idea for the bridesmaids dresses would be to have them all the same colour, but let them choose the style that's most flattering to them. I'm a plus sized woman, and I can tell you that the same style of dress would not suit me as it would some of my other friends. Also, if I were them, I'd want something that I was most comfortable in and might wear again (one of my plus sized roomates wont wear anything that shows her arms, but I'm comfortable with it). Even if you picked out a few styles that you liked and the colour then had them choose from that (to keep with your theme). Just a thought.
I love your dress and the flowergirls dress!
Maybe you could have your jr bridesmaid help you choose the dress? Just let her know that she has to have straps, and go from there. Mind you, I'm sure you already have

Weddings are fun! Can't wait till next year! I have two to go to!
Let us know your final decisions

I LOVE your dress and the flower girl's. The others, I think there are things out there that would compliment your dress much better, and still not be the traditionally tacky bridesmaid's dress. I completely understand the problem of fitting plus size ladies. None of us are the same shape, even at the same size. My daughter had her bridesmaids in different dresses of the same color theme. It worked out well. Her entire wedding party was plus size, and everyone looked beautiful.

I love the Jr. Bridesmaid's dress, very pretty. I think with a wrap it would be more appropriate for an 11-year-old.
The flower girl dress is precious

Thanks for the advice. I have thought about that. But there in also lies the problem that my three friends, all have Very very diffrent tastes. and the color i want, is pretty..paticular, lol. I am afraid I would end up with dresses all over the board o_O I may give this one to my maid of honor, LOL. I have a couple other bridesmaid dresses that I like, so I think I will pick a bunch than have them pick what they like best. I dont want to rennisancey, for the bridesmaid dresses, (could solve the problem with coreset dresses but ouch uncomfy!) but..man, lol sure cant please everyone hehehe.

And yes we are going to have Alex help pick out here dress, but I have again gotten a couple that I like, and hoipe she will like as well. She can be very indessive (from steves mouth not mine. lol) so its good to have some selections, and things ready if she asks me "Well which one (or ones ) do you like best" she already asks me that alot, lol

Thank you. I want the other sets of dresses to be a bit more modern and yet fit in with the theme, if that makes sense. We are still looking, I think i am going to have to delicately consult my mom...on this one. (she is plus size as well) I dont want anyone to think i am being insensitve..(i admit i am a petite sie 4 and have been since..high school) ah choices choices.

I love your dress and your flower girl dress!!

The junior bridesmaid dress is pretty, but I wonder whether the dress you've picked will fit an 11-year-old right, even after alterations. It seems kind of, um...curvy. You might check out the David's Bridal site...it looks like they have some junior bridesmaids that don't look too little girly.

I totally understand your predicament with your bridesmaids. I had four, and they were sizes 4, 8, 20, and 24. We ended up going with a simple sheath dress that actually looked really nice on everyone. (I can send you some pics if you want to see.) We also looked at doing separates and asking everyone to wear the same skirt and pick from a few different tops. How we finally decided was that I took my sister (size 20) and my SIL (size 8) and we went to David's Bridal together and tried on a variety of different things. That way we could actually see the dresses on different body types (because none of my girls were the 6'2", 97 lb models they show these things on in the catalogs).

Whatever you decide, good luck, and enjoy planning your wedding!
