Was there one particular behavior that you noticed in your cat that led you to believe labor was starting?
Crying? Discharge? Digging? (none of which Lady Bug has any interest in doing)
My cat is getting dangerously close to being officially over due and I am grasping at straws. I am trying to believe every movement is a sign of impending labor, but nothing.
I have stared at her for hours over the past week, just waiting.
She must be 69 days pg today. I will take her to the vet tomorrow if she does not deliver tonight or in the morning.

Anything I can do to help encourage her to deliver? Kitten induction? LOL!

Oh, that's right. You have the one who showed up at your door. Well, her major crankiness makes me think she'll go soon. Poor baby.

I had counted from 2 days before I got her. That made her due (63 days) on the 22nd of June.
Hopefully it will just happen soon. Thanks.

Affection, affection, affection!!!! We knew Sadie was going into labor when she was Overly affectionate. Coming into our laps, mewing, rubbing on our legs, purring. She isn't a very affectionate cat either, and thats how we knew. You may also want to look at her nipples and give a soft squeeze to see if any milk comes out. These 2 are sure signs she will be going into labor in the hours to come.

My Little Stray just gave birth three days ago, she also became more loving, she did not want me to leave her side. A few hours before she delivered she sat quitely in her nesting box and would not get up when she normally would.

Many queens will mistake the feelings of a contraction with the need to visit the litter. My own queen will make frequent trips to the litter box, straining with nothing produced. This is the sign for me that delivery is impending.
