Well after finding this site a few weeks ago, I finally decided to join. There have been so many friendly posts that I thought it would be great to be a part of this community.
My hubby and I have three wonderful cats and I'm amazed at how blessed we are with them. I'd like the chance to introduce them to everyone.
Much was my husband's cat we got married. She's 12 years old and a beautiful calico Manx. She's a little bit arthritic but when we got her a kitten (see below for Lucy), she perked up quite a bit and started playing more.
Lucy is our baby at 1 1/2. After we lost my dear Petunia at 15, it was kind of hard. But a tech at our vet's found a pregnant stray cat and brought the poor baby to the vet where she had a litter of 9. Lucy was the last to be adopted. A calico with tortoiseshell markings, she has the attitude of the two combined. You don't tell her what to do. She adores Much.
Carly is our last addition and the main reason I ended up on this site. Hubby and his best friend went to PetSmart for pet supplies one night. She was waiting there to be adopted and the two of them fell in love with her. Turns out a local no-kill rescue group scours the shelters for the ones whose time has run out and takes them to find a home. She is the sweetest calico/brown tabby you could meet. But she is particular about where the litter box is and we found out the hard way. (Problem is fixed though I'm still working on the dining room carpet). She also had a tail-pull injury before we got her and her little tail just kind of follows her. The vet says it's ok for now .
So with Carly's problems and looking for insight on how to keep three cats healthy and happy, I ended up here. I don't think I'll be leaving for awhile.
