Today is first really hot day we had so far this summer
.

I am working the 8am to 4pm shift and I am wrapped up in a blanket, sweater and jacket freezing my butt off because the AC is on full blast..
It is slower then slow today and I am falling asleep because of the fact I am so cold that I am trying to find a warm spot and when I do I start to dose.
GREAT.. I have 5 hours left to go.
DAGNABBIT..

Thank god for TCS cause its actually making the time go faster
I am waiting for the clock to finally tick to 12pm so I can go for my lunch. I am going to rip off my blanket, jacket, and whatever else winter like I have on and go soak up some rays for 30 minutes
.

I hear ya...I'm stuck inside at work from 9-5 today, 5 more hours!!! It's FREEZING in here too! So much that i have a heater on my feet. It's burning up outside and we're having a "tent sale" party thing outside. They're giving away a 2005 Mustang and free t-shirts, free cokes, and free Hardees Thickburgers. Those things are HUGE!!! It's crazy over here, they've got a big inflatable thing for the kids to play on too. I'm stuck inside by myself, cause I have to watch the phones.
They all get to have all the fun!!!

I'd rather be outside baking in the sun!

Lacey is delirious from the heat
It's about 90 degrees out. I cannot stand it even in the airconditioning. I am going swimming.

Good heavens!
Isn't there any way you can turn the AC down??????

Here in southern MN the heat index was between 100 -- 105 degrees the other day. The AC at home worked beautifully. Unfortunately, both ACs at work are junk that couldn't handle the heat at all, so it was 83 degrees inside even with both of them running full blast.

Sometimes you just can't win!

That is what the problem is, its a pretty big building and the floor I am on is wide open, to many people keep messing with the AC which screws it all up so it has to keep adjusting itself and mean while we freeze.. BRRRRRRRRRRRR

US Gov't buildings tend to be like that. I was working for Social Security (file clerk) in the early 80's and the building was so cold that I usually wore a jacket in the summer. 95* outside and I'm wearing a jacket! I'm cold-natured anyway and the A/C didn't help! I remember at lunch I'd go out and sit in the car, which having had the windows closed was probably at least 120*, and just soak up the heat until I was warm. Then go back for the next round
.

Trust me, I feel for ya.

I can relate completely! The temperature in our building is regulated by the government at a remote site (I work on an army installation), and it is FREEZING inside all summer long. I keep heavy jackets and a space heater in my office! BRRRRRRRRR!
